HOW TO USE LOGOS SOFTWARE THROUGH REAL WORLD SERMONS

My thoughts on how Logos software can better use their YouTube channel.

Instead of infomercials about your product, how about a two part video sermons.

FULL SERMON RESEARCHED AND PLANNED 100% WITHIN LOGOS

From a variety of preachers, youth pastors, and small group leaders. The study includes the sermon, graphics, handouts/sermon notes, and quizzes. Full blown sermon as you would see in a church, bible study, or small group.

HOW THIS STUDY CAME ABOUT

The second part of the video is a walkthrough of how the sermon was created in Logos. Steps taken, research references used, sermon planner, sermon presentation.

WHAT IS ACCOMPLISHED

You now accomplish two major goals. You preach the word of God to a large audience that can then share amongst a much larger audience. All social media platforms would be platforms to disseminate God’s word.

Second, you would teach people how to use Logos. With the variety of sermon videos, you will touch on all major aspects of the software. From pastors needing in-depth sermon study, to small groups, personal study and seminary study. Different versions for a particular need. A devotional study was created with the Starter, bible class used Bronze, Pastor used Platinum and Diamond, and seminary student used Portfolio. Each video sermon utilizes a level of Logos for that need.

There is no better way to show off the capabilities of software than to show the actual output and process. Then you create separate in in-depth videos on how to use Logos for a particular application. Beyond the 10 minute review on the end of sermons, these videos will be a walkthrough of each step detailing the process and answering FAQs. These videos is accompanied by Process PDFs that will have step by step guide. This guide will have links for each step to the corresponding video for reference.

I have not used your software yet, as I just found it today, but I see the huge potential. Imagine the reaction from videos beyond short Feature & Benefits. When people see what they can create, they get inspired to create.

Your software developers (I do web development), so let me speak in your vernacular. When you looked to learn a new language, which did you prefer. The language website or lynda.com? If you are looking for more than an answer provided by Stack Overflow, you probably like the video tutorials as they give you real world examples and projects. You get to learn the language, but also how it might be applied. You get inspired first. 

Three quick examples of scripts providing real world outcomes first. Each show you to how their scripts can be applied in your project first, then you dive into how to.

CLOSING

I think Logos has much more to offer than what is expressed in the short videos on your site. In these style of videos you will engage with your audience much deeper while answering questions and providing robust techniques that will excite people to explore more with your software. Software of this size can appear daunting and overwhelming.
